As YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia continues to face backlash for his offensive remarks on ‘India’s Got Latent’, multiple reports have surfaced bringing his parents into the picture.

As the controversy surrounding YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and his offensive remarks on stand-up comedian Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’ continues to snowball, the names of his parents have begun appearing in trends on social media.
Meanwhile, several reports have claimed that the YouTuber’s father, Gautam Allahbadia, is one of the leading names in the world when it comes to IVF. In fact, the official website of Gautam Allahbadia headlines him as “The Miracle Man”.
“Gautam Allahbadia has India’s first trans-ethnic surrogate pregnancy and first same-sex couple pregnancy to his credit,” his website states.
It also suggests that Gautam Allahbadia comes from a family of doctors and that he wanted to pursue art as a career.
Gautam Allahbadia, as per his website, started in the garage of his building and later “converted it into a clinic and a small lab where he would do semen processing.”
He later started an IVF centre and named it Rotunda. He also wrote papers and books and bagged some awards, his website claims.

“In 1996, when I had opened my sperm bank, my parents were totally against it. I had no support at all. Also when I started my IVF center and took a bank loan, they were against it too. People used to criticise and look down on me because I used to collect people’s sperm. However, things have changed radically in last few years,” the website of Ranveer Allahbadia’s father quotes him as saying.
“Today, even single Indian women come to get pregnant and we have gay couples corning in for babies and there are no eyebrows raised. Under the provisions of the Indian law, Rotunda is the only LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bi- sexual Trans-sexual) friendly clinic in India.”
“The Indian government has now taken me as one of the experts to draft national guidelines on assisted reproduction. And very soon, these guidelines will be promulgated into a law,” reads Gautam Allahbadia’s quote.
Going by a report with BollywoodShaadis.com, Ranveer’s mother, Swati Allahbadia, is a gynaecologist.
Gautam and Swati are also the co-founders of Rotunda, a human reproduction health services centre, the report claims.
THE RANVEER ALLAHBADIA CONTROVERSY
For the unversed, Ranveer Allahbadia had asked a contestant a controversial question about their parents’ sexual relationship during a recent episode of the show.
Known for its bold comedic content, the show has now become the centre of controversy and has been receiving a lot of backlash for the vulgar comedy.
The particular episode in question, featuring Ranveer Allahbadia, was uploaded on YouTube on February 8.
Amid the controversy, several complaints seeking legal actions have been filed against Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahabadia, YouTubers Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Mukhija over their obscene and offensive remarks on the show.
Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, later apologised for his “lapse in judgement”.
