This upcoming Tata SUV was recently spotted on a race track exercise at CoASTT High Performance Centre in Coimbatore. The high performance test is expected to help Tata streamline its new model to rival the more powerful 282 bhp Mahindra SUVs.  Unlike previous times Tata is expected to offer exhilarating performance with its new EVs while still offering a standard range of 400+ km.

The new Tata Harrier EV is  expected to come with a large battery pack and performance centric dual motor AWD configuration. Industry sources suggest the new model to get 6 drive modes like Normal, Snow, Mud & Ruts, Sand or Desert, Rough or Rocky.

What Else? 

Now as we know the upcoming Harrier EV will be mostly performance oriented and an capable off-road SUV. Whereas design-wise, the Tata Harrier EV will look identical to its ICE iteration. Apart from that the new model will get some EV specific changes like a closed grille, 19-inch aero alloy wheels and other things on the outside. However, talking about the inside, the new model will carry the same interior layout from the ICE Harrier.  

Talking about the launch, Tata is now readying the new model to showcase it at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Show. Once launched, the new Harrier EV will be a prime rival to the Mahindra XEV 9e and upcoming Hyundai Creta EV in India.
