switch 2 stock update: Nintendo Switch 2 Restock: Is new console available at My Nintendo Store, Walmart, Target, GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon, Costco and Staples? Here’s how to buy Switch 2 and price

The launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 has led to rapid sellouts across major retailers. While some stores briefly had stock, most online listings now show the consoles as unavailable. Some buyers are turning to Walmart, where third-party sellers are offering the device at inflated prices.

How to Buy Switch 2 Console?

The Switch 2 console launched at $449.99. The bundle with Mario Kart World was launched at $499.99. Costco had inventory on June 5. Target offered it online on June 6 but sold out fast. GameStop and Staples offer stock-check tools. However, most stores are now showing empty listings.

My Nintendo Store

To order from the My Nintendo Store, buyers need an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online account. Buyers can select the standalone console or the bundle and register their interest. Only those with a 12-month subscription and at least 50 gameplay hours can qualify. Successful users may receive email invites.

Walmart

Walmart began accepting preorders for Switch 2 on April 24. But actual stock has been limited. Users are advised to visit the product page regularly. The Nintendo Switch 2 and its Mario Kart World Bundle are currently listed on Walmart. However, these are not being sold by Walmart directly. The standard price for the bundle is $499. Currently, sellers like “GAMES FOR US” have it listed at $749. These are third-party offers, not official restocks.

Target

On launch day, Target directed buyers to a queuing area. Tickets were handed out to limit the number of buyers. Consoles were then sold at the electronics counter. Target online listings are currently marked out of stock.

GameStop

GameStop allowed midnight pickups for preorders. Some locations hosted launch events. Buyers could trade in older consoles and transfer data. Switch 2 accessories are also sold at GameStop. Online stock remains low.

Best Buy

Best Buy hosted launch parties but now requires online ordering. Customers must log in, confirm their location, and complete checkout within 10 minutes if stock appears. Listings are mostly out of stock.

Amazon and Staples

Amazon is not an official Nintendo retailer. Most listings are from resellers. Staples offered first-come, first-served sales from June 5. The bundle available is different from the standard one. Online stock is currently unavailable.

Costco

Costco offered the Mario Kart bundle on June 5 to members. Orders were limited to one per member every seven days. Both items are now marked as sold out on the website.

FAQs

How can I buy the Switch 2 online if all stores are out of stock?
Check the My Nintendo Store, GameStop and Walmart frequently. Stock may return briefly. Use online tools to check local availability.

Why does Walmart show higher prices for Switch 2 bundles?
The higher prices are from third-party sellers, not Walmart. These resellers list the items after official stock runs out.
