Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding pictures have gone viral on social media. While fans got a sneak-peek into some fun and cherished moments from the ‘SoChay’ wedding, we have now come across an unseen picture from the Talambralu ceremony during their wedding. The ‘Made In Heaven’ actress was seen pouring a rice and turmeric mixture over Chay’s head, as part of the joyous ceremony, while their loved ones surrounded them.
A picture that has surfaced on Instagram shows Sobhita Dhulipala in a red and white Kanjivaram saree, dressed as a traditional South Indian bride. She looks cheerful as she partakes in the Talambralu ceremony, and pours the rice and turmeric mixture over Naga Chaitanya’s head. Chay was seen in an ivory sherwani. As Sobhita showered him with the rice mixture, the guests around them looked amused. For the unversed, Talambralu is a Telugu wedding ritual, where the bride and groom shower each other with rice and pearls mixed with turmeric. This ceremony symbolizes showering the partner with love, happiness, and prosperity. Check out the picture below!
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala tied the knot on December 4, at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. A picture that went viral yesterday showed the couple posing together in front of Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s statue. Their wedding was attended by several celebrities including Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and his family, PV Sindhu, Rana Daggubati, Anurag Kashyap, SS Rajjamouli, Karthi and others.
Yesterday, a picture of Anurag Kashyap at Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita’s wedding also surfaced on Instagram. Anurag, dressed in a black kurta, was seen posing behind the bride. Sobhita Dhulipala made her acting debut in Anurag Kashyap’s 2016 film Raman Raghav 2.0. She also worked with him in the 2020 anthology horror film Ghost Stories. Meanwhile, other videos from the SoChay wedding showed glimpses of SS Rajamouli, Karthi and others.
Yesterday, Nagarjuna also shared some lovely pictures from the wedding ceremony. He penned a not in which he expressed his gratitude to their family, friends, fans and the media. “My son’s wedding was not just a family celebration—it became a cherished memory because of the warmth and support you all shared with us. From the bottom of our hearts, the Akkineni family thanks you all for the countless blessings you have showered upon us,” read a part of the note.
