Sherlyn Chopra knows how to stay in the news. In a major twist, the actress was spotted in the city with a baby girl in her arms as she headed to a plush restaurant. This led to speculation of her legally adopting the child and embracing motherhood. While details about the baby and her name are still unknown, Sherlyn didn’t seem to mind when the paparazzi referred to her as “mummy.”
Taking to her Instagram handle as well, Sherlyn posted photos with the baby and penned a caption that read, “A blessing that no one can replace…”

In the videos clicked by paps from last night, Sherlyn is seen cutely holding the baby in her arms. She also struggles to free her hair from the little one’s grasp. A paparazzo is heard saying, “Mummy ka baal chod do… (Let go of mummy’s hair).”
In the video, Sherlyn also says, “Acha decision liya na bachcha god lekar? Baby kuch maheene pehle hi paida hui hai.” She also kisses the little one on her cheeks. Later, the actress says, “Mera sapna sakaar ho gaya.”

Last year, Sherlyn had said that she cannot become a mother due to an autoimmune disorder called Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The actress claimed that she could never be a mother because of the illness she has been battling since 2021. It also resulted in her kidney failure.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sherlyn shared that her doctor told her to keep this health disorder under control and she needs medication for the rest of her life. Following this, she added, “I take it three times a day, morning, afternoon and evening. They also advised that I should never contemplate getting pregnant because it could be life-threatening for both the baby and the mother”.
Despite this, the actress shared her strong desire to be a mother. Though she cannot be a mother naturally, she is looking for other options and hopes to have at least three or four children. She further added that she wants her child’s name to start with the letter A, as she is very fond of names starting with A. Additionally, Sherlyn added, “I think I was born to be a mother because whenever I think about children, I feel an indescribable happiness. Even before they arrive, I’m so happy. Just imagine how much joy I’ll feel after they’re here”.
The actress further said, “I will continue working, but I’ll carry them along with me. Initially, I’d hire a nanny who could take care of my kids in my presence”.
