While many are anticipating the usual three variants, Samsung could surprise fans with a fourth addition to the series: the Galaxy S25 Slim. Positioned between the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra in terms of pricing, the Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to offer high-end performance with a focus on a sleek, slim design.
According to rumours, the Galaxy S25 Slim will be, well, slim—at just 6.5mm in thickness. That’s impressively thin, especially when most modern smartphones hover around 8 to 9mm.
While any leaked images or renders of the device are scarce, leaks suggest that the Galaxy S25 Slim may serve as the basis for the design language of Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series which will arrive in 2026.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to feature a 6.66-inch display, matching the Galaxy S25+ in size, and be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
The device will also be equipped with a battery that is estimated to range between 4,700mAh to 5,000mAh, which, considering the slim profile, should still offer solid battery life for everyday use.
One of the most exciting features of the S25 Slim is its camera system. Despite its slim profile, the device will borrow the “Ultra” camera setup from the flagship S25 Ultra. The main camera will feature a 200MP ISOCELL HP5 sensor—likely an upgrade from the S25+ and a closer match to the Ultra model. This sensor may be 1/1.56″ in size, though some sources suggest it could be slightly larger.
Additionally, the S25 Slim will include a 50MP ultrawide camera and a telephoto unit with 3.5x optical zoom. The telephoto camera will incorporate Samsung’s All Lenses on Prism (ALoP) design, allowing it to fit into the tight, slim profile of the device. While the S25 Slim will miss the second telephoto lens present on the Ultra.
While pricing details remain unclear, the S25 Slim is expected to fall somewhere between the S25+ and S25 Ultra in cost. Samsung has kept a tight lid on availability, with evidence suggesting the S25 Slim won’t be available for purchase until the second quarter of the year.
The device will likely be announced at the Samsung Unpacked event later this month, but fans may have to wait a little longer before getting their hands on it.
