Comedian Samay Raina is facing heat for YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s “sex with parents” remark on his show, India’s Got Latent. Samay Raina, who is currently touring in Canada as a part of his Samay Raina Unfiltered tour, addressed the crowd and told them that he is worried.
Samay said, “Jaane se pehle, ek-do baatein karna chahta hoon (I’d like to say a couple of things before I leave.” “Pehli baat toh thank you so much for coming out tonight,” he continued and added, “Baat yeh hai jo tumse kehni hai mujhe bhai, ke main iss time bahut pareshaan hoon (The thing is, I’m very worried at this time).”
The crowd rallied behind the comedian and his fans screamed that they loved him. Overwhelmed by their response, Samay responded that he also loved his fans for their relentless support.
Meanwhile, YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia was questioned by Maharashtra Cyber officials on Monday for nearly two hours. As reported by NDTV, Allahbadia admitted his mistake during the questioning and said that he had gone to the show because Samay Raina was his friend. The 31-year-old influencer further revealed that he did not charge any money for appearing at the show. He informed the officers that YouTubers generally share friendly ties and keep on making appearances on each other’s shows.
For the unversed, Ranveer had asked a contestant on Samay Raina‘s show, India’s Got Latent, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?” This garnered a lot of attention on social media and people called out Ranveer for his inappropriate joke. Several FIRs were filed against Ranveer, Samay and other guests on the show including Apoorva Makhija and Ashish Chanchlani. While neither of the content creators will be arrested, the Supreme Court heavily criticised Ranveer for his comments.
