Rekha mentioned that if you fall in love with the right person, being in love once is enough.

Rekha also spoke about self-love.
Veteran actress Rekha recently appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show and spoke about being in love. Rekha not only opened up about her idea of love but also emphasised the importance of self-love. She said that while she loves many people and things, she loves herself the most.
When Kapil Sharma mentioned how different poets describe love differently, thus creating confusion, Rekha replied, “Mere khayal se agar sahi aadmi ho toh ek hi baar kaafi hai! Kitne baar, kitne aadmi karenge? (If the person is right, then falling in love once is enough)?” This left the audience the splits.
Rekha also spoke about the importance of self-love and said, “Mera tazurba ye hai… main apni baat kar sakti hoon… sabse pehle toh main sab cheez se pyaar karti hoon. Kaam se, mere doston se, duniya se, nature se… lekin sabse zyaada main pyaar karti hoon khud se (As far as I am concerned, I am in love with everything. With my friends, this world, with nature… but I am most in love with myself).”
Rekha has often candidly spoken about love. She once spoke about her feelings for Amitabh Bachchan on Rendezvous with Simi Garewal. When asked if she had ever been in love with Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha replied, “Absolutely. Duh, that’s a dumb question. I have yet to come across a single man, woman, or child who can help but fall completely, passionately, insanely, desperately, hopelessly in love with him. So why should I be singled out? What do I deny? I’m not in love with him? Of course, I am. Duniya bhar ka love aap le lijiyega and add some more – I feel that for that person. Bottomline.”
However, when Amitabh Bachchan appeared on Simi’s show, during the interview, he was asked about his linkup rumours and alleged relationship with Rekha. Denying the affair with Rekha, Amitabh Bachchan said, “She has been my co-star and colleague. And when we were working together, obviously we met each other. Socially, we have nothing in common. That’s about it. Sometimes we bump into each other at a function, which is, you know, an award function, for example, or at a social gathering. But that’s about it.”
