Real Madrid have signed two new fitness coaches, apart from Ismael Camenforte, to help with the injury problems the team faced in the last 12 months, according to Guillermo Rai of The Athletic.
Real Madrid have signed two more fitness coaches permanently — Javier Arnáiz and Ismael Fernández. Arnáiz is the former performance manager of the Mexican federation and will work in the gym with the players.
Fernández, who has a PhD in Sports Science, will work in data analysis with the club. The two have collaborated with Real Madrid before, and have a novel method called Thermohuman.
This is aimed at addressing the growing fitness issue from last season, and Real Madrid are not stopping here. There are likely to be additional movements, such as hiring another fitness coach to assist with field work.
It is safe to say that a lot of things are changing at the club, and it is going to interesting to see how these things change the injury problems for the future.
