‘Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye’ – Prime Minister Narendra Modi quoted this famous line of Lord Ram in Bihar on Friday to say he had also fulfilled his promise made on April 24 in Bihar that India will smash the terrorist headquarters in Pakistan and reduce them to dust.

Bihar is the first state that will go to the polls in October-November this year, post-Operation Sindoor. Being a Hindi-speaking state in the heartland, the resonance of Operation Sindoor is expected to be high here with nationalism and patriotism. The NDA led by the BJP had swept all 40 seats in Bihar in the Lok Sabha polls of 2019, months after the Balakot air strike by India. In the 2020 Bihar elections, the BJP had emerged as the single-largest party in the state with 80 seats.

On Thursday, the PM took out a big road show in Patna and the BJP put up big hoardings saying – ‘Jo Sindoor Mitane Nikale The, Unhe Mitti Mein Milaya Hai’ and ‘Na Desh Jhukega, Na Bihar Ka Vikas Rukega’. The party is clearly taking Operation Sindoor’s message to Bihar’s people.

PM returned to Bihar with a massive rally in Karakat, exactly 35 days after his rally in Madhubani, when he promised a strong response against Pakistan post the Pahalgam terror attack. The PM reminded the crowd of the same, saying how he has fulfilled the vow he made.

“Lord Ram’s line was that a promise once made, it will be fulfilled. This is now a policy of the new India. In Pahalgam, the terror attack took place. Our innocent civilians were killed. I came a day later to Bihar (April 24) and I had promised to the country from the land of Bihar that the terrorist headquarters in Pakistan will be reduced to dust. I had said we will punish them beyond their imagination. Today, I have come to Bihar after fulfilling my promise,” the Prime Minister said in his rally.

The PM said that those who wiped out Sindoor, our forces had reduced their headquarters to dust. “Pakistan has seen the power of the sindoor of our women. Terrorists thought they were safe in the shelter of the Pakistan Army. We brought the Pakistan army to its knees. We destroyed their air bases and military installations in a few minutes. This is the new India and our strength. Pakistan should understand that Operation Sindoor is only one arrow of our arsenal. Our battle against terrorism has not ended or slowed. If again terrorist strike happens, we will destroy the snake’s head,” the Prime Minister said in Karakat.

The NDA is a formidable caste coalition in Bihar with the BJP, Nitish Kumar’s JDU, and Chirag Paswan’s LJP in an alliance. The NDA had won 29 out of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar during the general elections last year. When the BJP and JDU had contested in an alliance in the 2020 assembly elections, the  BJP had emerged as the single-largest party with 80 seats while the JDU won 45 seats. Nitish Kumar was made the Chief Minister, and he shifted camps to the RJD later. But he returned to the NDA’s fold two years ago and has vowed to remain with NDA.
