Anna Lezhneva, wife of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, visited Tirumala on Sunday evening to fulfill a religious vow by tonsuring her head.
She is set to offer prayers at the Tirumala temple on Monday morning, seeking blessings for her son, Mark Shankar Pawanovich, who recently survived a fire accident in Singapore.
The family returned to India on Saturday following Mark’s recovery and discharge from the hospital.
On April 11, actor K. Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan’s brother, confirmed in a public statement that Mark was safe and recuperating at home.
Pawan Kalyan is also expected to join his family at Tirumala on Monday for darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
As Anna Lezhneva is a Russian national, she is expected to submit a faith declaration before entering the temple, in accordance with the Tirumala temple’s rules for non-Hindus and foreign nationals.
