A Mumbai man effected a hilarious method to catch a digital scammer off guard as he put his puppy to face the video call with the fraudster pretending to be an officer from the Andheri East police station.
The video, captioned “pretend to be Mumbai Police. Scam call gone wrong”, was shared on Instagram in which the “officer” was heard saying,” I am calling from Andheri East police station”. He went on to ask the caller to show his face to the camera.
How Did The Man Trick Scammer?
The caller, instead of presenting his own face, placed his puppy in front of the camera. “Ye lijiye, sir, aa gaya main camera ke samne (there you go sir, I’m here in front of the camera),” he said while holding the puppy even closer to the camera.
The scammer was caught off guard by the man’s surprising move. He soon came to terms with the reality that the ‘scammer has been scammed’. He smiled and turned his face away from the camera.
The caller jabbed the scammer, exclaiming, “Arey ye raha main, arey thanedar, dikh raha hai? Arey nakli vardi.”
The scammer turned off his camera and hung up the call.
