Microsoft is bringing AI to one of its oldest Windows tools as it looks to increase the usage time for its applications.

Microsoft is going big with its AI focus where some of them can be useful and some come across as gimmicky. But the new update coming to Windows users will surely bring a new side of the app called Notepad. Windows 11 users will soon have AI baked into the popular tool that will not only help you rewrite sentences with a single click.
Notepad AI Update: How Rewrite Works
Notepad has generally been used for basic text formatting changes, but having AI on board means the tool now becomes more enhanced and reliable for tasks like rewriting and helping you correct the sentences. The feature is available to those signed up for the Windows 11 Insider which is Microsoft’s own beta program and they need to sign into their Microsoft/Outlook account to get the benefits of the AI features.
Talking about the tool itself, Windows 11 users can select the sentence or paragraph to rewrite and then right-click to see the AI tweak feature. The AI tech will then offer multiple versions, and you can select one of them for your purpose.
The AI rewrite tool is limited to select regions like the US, Canada, UK, Italy and Germany among others. Windows 11 users in India will probably have to wait a little longer to try out this new AI feature if they use a lot of Notepad for their daily tasks.
In other AI news from the company, Microsoft has been testing its AI-powered chatbot for Xbox for several months and now the update is out for selected users. Named Support Virtual Agent, it is an AI-powered technology designed to help Xbox players resolve support-related gameplay difficulties more efficiently. According to the tech giant, the AI chatbot can quickly obtain information from Xbox help pages to answer questions about Xbox console and game support difficulties.
As per reports, Xbox Insiders based in the US can try out the Xbox AI chatbot through support.xbox.comand it will address queries about Xbox console and game support issues.
