The 2025 Met Gala is themed Tailored for You, aligning with the Costume Institute’s exhibition, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, set to open to the public on May 10. This year’s Met Gala is hosted by a group of Black male celebrities, including Colman Domingo, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Pharrell Williams—musician and Louis Vuitton menswear director—and A$AP Rocky. About the stunning blue carpet
While we see the MET Gala red carpet shine with star outfits, let’s pause to actually see the details of the carpet they walk on. The 63,000 square feet carpet is actually made in India— in Kerala to be precise— wow! It features hand painted flower prints of daffodils scattered all over the blue hue and the sides of the stairs are decorated with white daffodils.
