The display of ads on the infotainment screen in the Mahindra XUV700 has raised concern among the masses. The owner reported that the SUV’s infotainment screen displayed an advertisement for an Amazon Echo Dot, along with a Scotch Brite. This scenario agitated the owner, and thus, he took this over the internet, to which many other car owners were furious about what if this similar situation happens in their cars!

How Did This Happen?
While India is witnessing a technological boom, and as a result, carmakers are trying to offer new technology in their cars. One such is a big infotainment screen loaded with all features from music to AC controls. However, in this scenario, Mahindra’s infotainment is not to be blamed for displaying ads. Why? This advertisement is due to an external source i.e Amazon Alexa, that’s integrated into XUV’s infotainment system. Also, we all know how desperate Amazon is to show ads in its circle! How To Stop Such Ads?
With such an occurrence of ads, now, many owners would be searching about how they can turn off their ads. So, is there any option? Yes, you can definitely turn off these ads by using the infotainment screen and the AdrenoX app. The first option via infotainment is to go to the ‘Connected Settings’ and then navigate to the option ‘Advertisement’ – there, you will see an option to disable ads – turning it off will stop serving ads.
