Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said on Maha Kumbh said that the government should give priority to how the people stuck in and around Prayagraj be sent home.

“Every possible effort should be made to ensure that the people gathered in Prayagraj safely return to their respective destinations,” said Tiwari.

On the security arrangements made by the Uttar Pradesh administration for the ‘Maghi Purnima’ snan, Prayagraj DM Ravindra Kumar Mandar said, “More than 322 civil officers, more than 9 thousand forces, and more than 60 RAF companies have been deployed. The traffic police have also been deployed in large numbers.”

“Mela special trains and other trains are running normally. This is a historic occasion. On the instructions of the CM and the Administration, we are fully committed that people do not face any problems. Special arrangements have also been made to ease the traffic jams that were there in the last few days. So far, more than 40 crore devotees have taken a dip,” said Mandar.

As today marks one of the auspicious days for snan at Maha Kumbh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Jagdambika Pal, who is in Prayagraj, expressed his fervour on the occasion of Magh Purnima on Wednesday.

Expressing his feelings, Pal stated that happiness cannot be expressed in words and it can only be experienced after visiting the spiritual event. He said that a “Mini-India” is visible in Prayagraj.

On the auspicious occasion of Magh Purnima, the sacred Bhasma aarti was performed at Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Wednesday morning. Thousands of devotees gathered to seek blessings and darshan of Baba Mahakal.

A pilgrim from Belgium, Edward, speaking about his experience at the mela, stated that currently, it was the “best place” in the world.

“The experience at Mahakumbh is beautiful and fantastic. The crowd and the people are so friendly. It is the best place in the world for today,” he said.

Over 73 lakh people took a dip at the Sangam till 6 am on Wednesday on the occasion of Maghi Purnima during the Maha Kumbh mela in Prayagraj.

The sacred bath began early Wednesday and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been monitoring the event from Lucknow.

To manage the massive influx of devotees for the Maghi Purnia snan, the administration has declared a ‘No Vehicle’ zone in the area around the Maha Kumbh Mela venue.

According to ANI, Private and public vehicles will be parked in designated parking lots, and only essential and emergency services will be allowed to enter.

Additionally, a ban on Kalpavasis vehicles has been announced.
