In a recent chat, Loveyapa actor Junaid Khan revealed people struggle to believe he is Aamir Khan’s son due to differences in their appearance.

Aamir Khan’s son Junaid was recently seen in Advait Chandan’s film Loveyapa.
Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan was recently asked whether he feels the pressure of hailing from a film family, or whether it’s a privilege. He revealed that he hasn’t felt much pressure about it, and acknowledged the many privileges of coming from a film background. He pointed out that while he is Aamir Khan’s son, their contrasting physical traits make it less obvious to others. He shared that people often have a hard time believing that he is Aamir’s son due to the differences in their appearance.
In an interview with Indian Express, both Khushi and Junaid were asked about hailing from established film families, and whether that can be both- a privilege and pressure. Junaid Khan said, “I haven’t actually felt so much pressure about it. It has not really come up so much around me- like with my family, and friends, and people I work with. I don’t think it has really come up so much. There are lots and lots of privileges. But yeah….maybe moving forward. I guess Papa also looks very young. Most people are not able to comprehend ki unka itna bada beta hai. We look also physically very different. I’m like twice his size. So yeah, I have not had it around me so much.”
Meanwhile, Khushi Kapoor also acknowledged that she comes from a position of privilege. “Pressure is there if you put it on yourself. And of course, externally, people will want to compare you. You can’t blame them. We come from a certain family. We have parents who are in this field so it’s only normal for people to want to compare. But when it comes to pressure, maybe initially I had felt it. There was a lot of fear of rejection in me.” However, she said that once you grow confident and do everything with conviction, no one will doubt your capabilities.
Loveyapa, which marks Khushi and Junaid’s big screen debut, released in theatres on February 7, 2025. The film also features Kiku Sharda, Grusha Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Tanvika Parlikar, Devishi Mandan, Aaditya Kulshreshth, Nikhil Mehta, Jason Tham, among others.
