Google announced that it is adding a new ‘Create’ tab to its Google Photos app that will allow users to easily turn their photos into GIFs, videos, animations and more, per a blog post.
Users can access the new feature by opening their Google Photos app and tapping on the ‘Create’ option. From there, users can create animated GIFs of selected photos and videos, add a 3D effect to photos for a cinematic feel, arrange photos in collages, and create photo/videos montages with music.
In addition to this, users can turn their photos into videos by animating them or turning stills into six-second-long video clips. Photos can also be remixed into different artistic styles, such as an Anime-inspired image.
The introduction of Google’s ‘Create’ tool comes several days after Elon Musk’s social media platform X allowed some paying users to turn their photos into videos with the help of the Grok Imagine offering.
