The latest GTA 6 trailer has revealed an extensive list of new inputs that would keep enthusiasts busy for a while. And to further ensure that we can adjust to the extended wait much more easily IGN has taken another interview with Take-Two Boss Strauss Zelnick and here is what he had to say.
The question IGN put up was rather simple- what was the reason behind the Delay?, since Mr Zelnick had assured GTA 6 to be released on its previous timeline, which has been changed and delayed. Zelnick answered that as the GTA 6 team got closer to the launch, a need for retouching and polish seemed necessary. Hence, to conduct all such changes the launch date was pushed ahead. As per him, GTA 6 developer team wants to achieve its creative vision without any limitation and such a push would most definitely help them in achieving its vision with ease.
GTA 6 Delay’s Impact On Take-Two
The delay has not been an easy task to manage for the Take Two team. As the delay has caused a massive blow to the numbers, but still Strauss Zelnick said that we are happy with the approach we are taking towards the completion of the game.
IGN’s Wesley Yin Poole further asked Strauss Zelnick about how confident he is that there would not be anymore Delays and development team would be able to hit its May 26, 2026 release date commitments. To which Zelnick answered that we have had an impeccable history of reaching a specific release date once it has been established.

Further, a slew of screenshots have been revealed by IGN and amongst them one that stood out and assured the presence of Vice City as a location in the game.
