Trump Warns Hamas: US President-elect Donald Trump on Monday (local time) issued a warning to Hamas in regards to those it captured during the October 7 attack in Israel last year, stating that there would be “hell to pay” in the Middle East if the hostages in the Gaza Strip were not released before he assumes office on January 20 next year.
In its deadly attack in 2023 on Israel, Hamas terrorists had held over 250 people hostage, including dual Israeli-American nationals. Nearly half of the 101 foreign and Israeli hostages are still under captivity in Gaza and are believed to be alive.
Donald Trump Issues Warning To Hamas
In his most explicit remarks on the hostages since his historic win in the Presidential Poll on November 5, Trump said, “Everybody is talking about the hostages who are being held so violently, inhumanely, and against the will of the entire World, in the Middle East – But it’s all talk, and no action! Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity.”
“Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied History of the United States of America. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!” he added in a strong-worded post.

Ceasefire Conditions By Hamas
Hamas has sought the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza as part of any deal to end the war and release the hostages.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has affirmed that the war against Hamas will continue until the terrorist group is dismantled completely and poses no more threat to the Jewish country.
On Monday, Hamas informed the world about the killing of 33 hostages in Gaza during the 14-month-old war between the group and Israel in the enclave. It, however, did not give away their nationalities.
Israel started its all-out war against Hamas after the terrorists unleashed a terrorist attack in Israel on October 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people, and taking several hostages.
Since Israeli retaliation began, its military has killed over 44,400 Palestinians, leaving most of the population in Gaza displaced, according to Gaza officials.
