Rockstar Games is launching a big summer update to GTA Online on June 17, and it’s one of the most ambitious to date. Called Money Fronts, the update adds new front businesses which are legitimate storefronts by day but secret operations for dirty money laundering by night. Along with criminal gameplay, quality-of-life improvements and new cars are also coming, which should make the experience more dynamic for everyone.
Run legal fronts, hide illegal empires
Central to Money Fronts is a brilliant addition to criminal gameplay. The player can buy and run three new money-laundering fronts: Hands On Car Wash in Strawberry, Smoke on the Water dispensary, and Higgins Helitours. These businesses are plausible legitimate fronts for money-laundering activities connected with car washes, weed growing, and air freight smuggling missions.A new Heat system introduces consequences to your criminal behavior. As players engage in illegal activities, they build Heat that attracts law enforcement. When things get too hot, you’ll have to lie low and operate your front businesses legitimately to cool off. This new layer of strategy encourages balance between risk and profit, reshaping how players manage their in-game empires.
Vehicles, roleplay, and long-awaited fixes
Along with the new business dynamics, Rockstar is also bringing in a number of vehicles such as the Karin Everon RS and Declasse Tampa GT for speed enthusiasts, and the Woodlander SUVs for utilitarian players. Police roleplaying receives an uplift with the Western Police Bike and a special Summer Highway Patrol Outfit, designed for Dispatch Work missions. On the technical front, the update delivers meaningful changes. Cutscenes can be skipped on mission replays, and 50 additional vehicles will have Missile Lock-On Jammers, another community complaint addressed. Arena War enthusiasts now get Arena Points twice as quickly and Sell Mission timers have been redone for improved pacing. The troublesome Boxville Van has also been taken out of Biker Sell Missions. With Money Fronts, Rockstar merges criminal ingenuity with entrepreneurial savvy, allowing players to live two lives, on and off the law. With added car updates and finally requested bug fixes, the June 17 update is a new and polished direction for GTA Online. Cleaning cars or cleaning cash, Los Santos streets are set to become more crowded. Also Read: Three titans collide as GTA 6, Champions League final, and World Cup set for 16-day stretch
