Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL specs leak ahead of August launch: Here’s what to expect

With Google’s official Pixel 10 series launch expected on August 20, fresh leaks have surfaced revealing key specs of the upcoming Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL. Courtesy of Android Headlines, the latest report suggests the tech giant is playing it safe this year.

As per the leak, both models will feature the new TSMC-made Tensor G5 chip, paired with 16GB of RAM. Storage options will go up to 1TB, though the Pixel 10 Pro XL may drop the 128GB base variant, possibly hinting at a pricing shift similar to Apple’s strategy in recent years.

In terms of display and design, don’t expect a major overhaul. The Pixel 10 Pro will sport a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro XL will feature a 6.8-inch screen. Peak brightness levels are expected to remain similar to last year’s models.

One of the notable upgrades comes in the battery department. The Pixel 10 Pro is tipped to pack a 4,870mAh battery, while the Pro XL could ship with a massive 5,200mAh unit—the largest ever seen in a Pixel phone. Charging speeds are reportedly getting a boost as well, with wired charging at 29W and 39W, and 15W wireless charging for both models.

Camera hardware appears largely unchanged, except for improved telephoto functionality. According to the leak, the telephoto sensor will now allow for more light capture, improving performance in low-light and zoomed-in shots. Google’s history of reusing camera sensors is well-known, with past Pixel generations often relying on software improvements to stay ahead.

While the Pixel 10 series may not bring dramatic changes to the table, the inclusion of more refined internals and incremental hardware improvements signal Google’s focus on stability and long-term performance. If surprises are in store, we won’t have to wait long—full availability is expected a week after the official launch.
