The Red Devils believe that they can now secure a better transfer fee for one Manchester United star and have increased their asking price, according to reports.
Ruben Amorim has been undergoing a Manchester United first-team squad revamp and the club are still expected to sell several players before the window shuts.
The 40-year-old United manager oversaw a rollercoaster 2024-25 Premier League campaign after arriving at Old Trafford from Sporting CP last November.
Ruben Amorim has now been able to undergo his first pre-season as Red Devils boss and United have signed the likes of Diego Leon, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
But he is waiting for United to sell players who are now surplus to requirements, including the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia.

Man Utd have now shifted the needle on Alejandro Garnacho’s transfer value amid Chelsea’s interest
Alejandro Garnacho had been linked with Chelsea and Napoli back in January and the Spain-born winger had previously been valued at around £70m in the market.
However, the 21-year-old Argentina international’s stock value plummeted in recent months after Alejandro Garnacho’s splintered relationship with Ruben Amorim.
United had valued Garnacho at around £40m and had been holding out for the asking price, despite their need to offload the youth academy product this summer.
But BBC Sport have now reported that United are confident that they could secure more money for Chelsea-linked winger Garnacho and have put up their price.
According to the publication, it is now believed that the Red Devils have set their ‘asking price’ at £50m, which is a £10m increase on their previous position.
Where does Chelsea stand on Alejandro Garnacho amid the wantaway Man Utd star’s desire to leave Old Trafford?
BBC Sport claims that Chelsea still maintain an ‘interest’ in Alejandro Garnacho and the Blues had expressed their desire to potentially sign him this summer.
Garnacho is believed to be keen on a move to the Blues and the United exile has been sat on the sidelines after being left out of the pre-season tour this summer.
BBC added that it ‘remains to be seen’ if Chelsea are willing to match United’s new £50m valuation or if the Premier League club tries to negotiate a lower fee.
Garnacho is under contract with United until 2028 and the Red Devils talent has netted 26 times and registered 22 assists in 144 matches for the senior team.
