From Ammu-Nation to PS5 console, here’s all about GTA 6 trailer easter eggs

Rockstar Games has released the second trailer for their forthcoming open-world action game, Grand Theft Auto 6 or GTA 6. Besides the multiple shots of automobile explosions and nightclubs, there are also some clues and hidden jokes.

Here is a list of every easter egg we found in official images and trailer 2 for GTA 6.

“Fixing some leaks”

One of the primary characters, Jason Duval, is shown performing repairs on a roof in the new Rockstar trailer. Jason responds that he’s “fixing some leaks” when asked what he was doing. That is certainly a reference to all of the GTA 6 leaks that have occurred in recent years.

“Everybody Have Fun Tonight”

Popular 1980s song ‘Everybody Have Fun Tonight,’ by Wang Chung, is one of several songs that play during the trailer. Another 1980s classic, ‘Hot Together,’ by the Pointer Sisters, is another significant tune. This could be a clue that Rockstar made the right decision in giving GTA 6 a radio station with an 80s vibe.

Weightlifting in GTA 6

Weightlifting buff fans should rejoice that Rockstar may be reintroducing weightlifting in GTA 6. A brief glimpse of Jason lifting weights is shown early in the trailer — a feature that was last seen in GTA: San Andreas. Jason appears quite different in the official 2-minute trailer, often sporting different hairstyles, more or less sunburn, and even some more muscle.

Ammu-Nation Easter Egg

GTA fans are huge admirers of their weapons, and the legendary Ammu-Nation is the epitome of firepower. It is easy to miss the brief easter egg that GTA 6 trailer 2 tucks in to indicate its return. Two more intriguing elements, however, are hidden within that same shot if you look closely.

IRL Location in GTA 6

Rockstar often integrates real-world settings into its video games. Fans see Jason and Lucia at a bar in trailer 2 that resembles the real Caribbean Club in Key Largo. There is also a reference to a hurricane named Roxy in the same scene.

Lucia’s Golden Dress Returns

The first trailer showed a woman in a gold outfit driving a car and having a nighttime party. In a brief GTA 6 trailer 2 easter egg, Rockstar returns with that dress, although the scene is a bit more vivacious this time. It appears that she and Jason go out to a rock club after their trip down the interstate.

PS5 controller Easter Egg

The latest trailer ends with Jason watching TV, sprawled out on the couch. A PS5 console and DualSense controller sit comfortably on the left side. Although this will not be a real-life PlayStation, it will be intriguing to see if the Degenetron brand, which was initially introduced in GTA Vice City, will make a comeback.

Phil Cassidy Easter Egg

The potential return of Phil Cassidy from GTA Vice City is arguably the most insane moment in this second trailer, at least for die-hard fans. It is yet to find out whether it’s an allusion or a real Phil, but Rockstar always has a knack for getting the mythology buffs excited.
