A female passenger on a Southwest Airlines flight to Chicago allegedly stripped down naked and pooped on her seat as the plane landed, leaving fellow passengers in shock, the New York Post reported.
After receiving a complaint, police officials and a medical team rushed to Chicago’s Midway Airport on Saturday after Southwest Airlines flight 418 landed.
Reportedly, the woman caused a disturbance on a flight by removing her clothes and defecating on her seat, resulting in the plane being taken out of service for several hours for deep cleaning.
Addressing the incident, Southwest Airlines issued a statement saying, “Nothing is more important to Southwest than the safety of our customers and employees, and we appreciate the professionalism of our flight crew,” as reported by News from the Wings.
“Our teams are reaching out to those onboard to apologise for the situation and any delay to their travel plans,” the airline further said.
However, it’s unclear what action was taken against the passenger by authorities after the flight landed.
In a bizarre coincidence, a similar incident occurred last month when another Southwest passenger stripped naked during a flight.
