Hansi Flick says “dreaming is allowed” after Barcelona booked their spot in the Copa del Rey final by beating Atletico Madrid.
Barcelona overcame Atletico Madrid 5-4 on aggregate to set up another Clasico showdown at the end of April.
Here’s what Flick had to say after the game.
“I’m really happy with how we played. We played really brave in the first half, in the second we suffered a little bit,” he told a post-match press conference.
“All the defenders did a great job. It’s not easy here to keep a clean sheet and to win here. I think it’s one of the best teams, not just in Spain but in Europe, but yes we are happy.
“I think dreaming is allowed, But we have to be focused and work hard and we’ll do that.
“It’s not easy, tomorrow we arrive home. The players are at home, they will sleep and then we train again and we have to recover. We have to see what’s possible against Betis.
“It’s not easy. But we will do it well. I have a fantastic team around me and great players, very professional. The club will be very proud of them and the fans, how they played tonight and reached the final.”
Barcelona have little time to rest with the fixtures coming thick and fast. They will now head back to Barcelona to start thinking about Saturday’s La Liga clash with Real Betis.
