A rescue helicopter located the burning fuselage of a Russian passenger plane that went missing in Amur region on Thursday after air traffic control operators lost communication, Reuters reported.As per Tass new agency, citing source, “An An-24 operated by Angara Airlines failed to make contact at a designated checkpoint a few kilometers from Tynda Airport.” The aircraft, operated by a Siberia-based airline called Angara airlines, was reportedly approaching its destination of Tynda, located in the Amur region adjacent to China, when communication ceased. SHOT reported that the plane was believed to be within a few kilometres of Tynda when contact was lost.Vasily Orlov, the regional governor, indicated initial reports showed 43 passengers were aboard, comprising five children and six crew members.“All necessary forces and means have been deployed to search for the plane,” he wrote on Telegram.The emergencies ministry provided a slightly different figure, stating approximately 40 individuals were on the aircraft.This is a developing story
