Zomato head Deepinder Goyal married Mexican model Grecia Munoz earlier this year. He has now shared how they met.

Deepinder Goyal and Gia Goyal’s love story revealed.
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal opened up about his love story with his wife, Gia Goyal (previously named Grecia Munoz). Speaking with Kapil Sharma on his show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, Deepinder revealed that he was introduced to Gia, former Mexican model, by a friend in New Delhi. He added that his friend had foreseen that Deepinder would marry her.
“I was single for the longest time. My friends would set me up on dates and always advised me not to settle down. When Grecia first came to Delhi, a friend called me and said, ‘There’s a girl here you should meet.’ I agreed, and he said, ‘Make sure to meet her; you’ll end up marrying her,’” Deepinder recalled.
“It was his foresight. He had always told me not to get serious, but this time he said, ‘You have to marry if you find a girl like her.’ I was intrigued to meet her, and then…” he added.
Deepinder married Gia earlier this year. She then moved to India and has been actively involved in Zomato’s functioning. Recently, she was seen joining Deepinder in his social experiment to deliver food as a Zomato delivery boy. The couple was seen wearing matching tees and delivering food in different parts of the city.
During the episode, Deepinder also jokingly revealed that Zomato’s creative notifications are inspired by his love for Gia. “Sometimes, my romantic messages to Gia serve as inspiration for the app’s notifications. I give full credit to our marketing team, who took my idea of ‘building a relationship with the customer’ a bit too seriously!” he said.
Live Mint reported that this is Deepinder’s second marriage. The Zomato head was previously married to Kanchan Joshi. The former couple had met when he was studying in ITT Delhi.
