Council launch sessions to improve health and fitness in Cornwall

People in Cornwall planning to make resolutions to get healthier in the new year are being offered help.

Cornwall Council said there were sessions being available through its Healthy Cornwall programme which offered a range of information, tools, and advice.

It said the programme was targeting five key areas which included: weight management, healthy eating, physical activity, stopping smoking and healthy pregnancy.

Council assistant director of public health Dr Ruth Goldstein said teams were trying to make the sessions as “easy as possible to access convenient healthy lifestyle programmes and advice, which is almost always free of charge”.
