If you thought it could not get any worse for Bayern Munich and its ongoing bout with injuries…think again.
With the game knotted at 1-1 in the second half against FC Augsburg, starting attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala had to be taken off the pitch with what is being described by some as a hamstring injury:
Because the football gods work in funny and mysterious ways, it was, indeed, Thomas Müller, who came on to replace Musiala. Recent reports indicate that Bayern Munich is parting ways with the 35-year-old after the season, which has left the veteran unhappy with his situation in Bavaria.
As of now, we do not know just how severe the injury is to Musiala, but with a Champions League showdown with Inter MIlan looming on Tuesday, the timing is awful to say the least.
Since Musiala’s injury, Bayern Munich has taken the lead on a goal from Harry Kane to make it 2-1. Michael Olise whipped in a perfect cross for an assist on the play.
