AP Inter First-year Exam 2025 Cancelled, Only Second-year Exams From Now On

The Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh (BSEAP) has cancelled the Intermediate first-year public examinations 2025. While making the announcement, the Andhra Pradesh State Inter Board Secretary Kritika Shukla said that the move aims to reduce the pressure of examinations on students adding that only second-year public examinations will be conducted from now on.

The first-year syllabus of Inter will now be taught in Telugu-English medium. As per media reports, the NCERT syllabus for AP inter first year students will be reduced drastically, especially for Math and Chemistry subjects. As per the new process, there will now be 20 marks internal exam for each subject in inter instead of the annual exams. Students, teachers, and other stakeholders may express their opinions on the website till January 26. There have been no changes in the Inter Board for the last few years, Shukla said.

Meanwhile, BSEAP has released the AP SSC and Inter Exam 2025 timetable. Students who are scheduled to appear for the exams can download the AP 10th and 12th exam date sheet from the official website—bse.ap.gov.in. According to the schedule, the AP SSC exams 2025 will be conducted from March 17 to 31, 2025. AP inter 1st year exams 2025 will be held from March 1 to March 19 and 2nd year exams from March 3 to March 20, 2025. The AP Class 10 exams 2025 will commence with the First language paper on March 17. The exam will be conducted from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm.

Last year, the AP Intermediate first-year exam results were released on April 12. The exams were held from March 1 to 19, 2024. To clear the exam this year, students needed to score at least 35 per cent in both theory and practical examinations. A total of 67 per cent of the students who took the exams passed the test last time. This marked an increase in the pass percentage compared to 2023 when 61 per cent of the students cleared it. While in 2022, the pass percentage stood at 54 per cent. Due to 2021 being Covid-19 year, all the students were marked as pass that year.
