Govinda and Sunita Ahuja are reportedly heading for divorce after 37 years of marriage. However, in an exclusive interaction with News18, the actor’s niece Arti Singh calls the rumours ‘untrue’.
Arti Singh has reacted to Govinda-Sunita Ahuja’s divorce rumours.
Rumours can spread like wildfire, but Arti Singh is here to douse the flames. Today, news broke out that Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja may be heading for divorce after 37 years of marriage. However, the couple has not confirmed or denied the news yet. Amid this, News18 exclusively reached out to Govinda’s niece, Arti Singh, who called the reports nothing but baseless gossip.
Singh told us, “I am honestly not in Mumbai right now so I haven’t gotten in touch with anybody. But let me tell you something, this is false news. These are just speculations because their bond is so strong. They have built a strong and loving relationship over the years so how can they get divorced? I don’t know where people get all such rumours from, completely untrue. People should refrain from spreading misinformation about their personal lives. In fact, news about my divorce had also broken out for no reason. Such baseless gossip only creates unnecessary stress.”
Sunita has recently made several media appearances, while Govinda has been notably absent. A report from The Now India read that their marriage is nearing its end, and a divorce could be imminent.
News18 Showsha contacted Sunita Ahuja and daughter Tina Ahuja for a comment, but they had not responded at the time of publication.
Last month, Govinda’s wife Sunita revealed a big secret about their marriage in an interview. Ahuja revealed that she does not live with the actor. Sunita mentioned that while lives in a flat with their children, Govinda lives in a bungalow opposite the apartment. Talking about their decision to live separately, Govinda’s wife made a big statement and mentioned that while she used to be secure in her marriage before, now she doesn’t feel the same way.
