STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Assemblyman Charles D. Fall (D-Staten Island, Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn) and Steve Tanen, owner of Transformation Fitness Studio, teamed up to donate fitness equipment to FDNY Engine 158, also known as “The Harbor Knights.”
The donated equipment includes cardio machines, weights, and resistance gear to help firefighters maintain the strength and endurance needed for their demanding duties.
“This donation is a small way of showing our gratitude to our city’s bravest who risk their lives to protect us every day,” said Assemblyman Fall. “By ensuring that Engine 158 has equipment for training, we’re playing a small part in helping them stay ready for the physical challenges they face in the line of duty.”

“As a local small business, we believe in giving back to the community that supports us. Our partnership with Assemblyman Fall to assist FDNY Engine 158 is about helping those who help us every day. We’re honored to contribute to their preparedness and safety,” said Tanen.
This initiative reflects a shared dedication to ensuring first responders have the tools to support their health and well-being, understanding that these are key necessities for their duties.
“As soon as NYC firefighters put on their gear, they face physical challenges, which is why it’s important to keep up their physical conditioning,” said Robert Unger, Staten Island Trustee for the Uniformed Firefighters Association. “This donated equipment by Assemblyman Fall and Mr. Tanen will go to great use to keep the members of Engine 158—‘The Harbor Knights’—prepared to serve the residents of Mariners Harbor and Staten Island safely.”
