At the trailer launch of Kadhalikka Neramillai in Chennai, actress Nithya Menen shared a playful moment with director Mysskin. As Mysskin approached to greet her, Nithya jokingly said, “Don’t squish me. Dont squeeze me. Don’t do all of that. I am fully dressed up.”
At the event, Nithya Menen jokingly asked director Mysskin not to hug her, so he kissed her hand instead. A viral video shows Nithya happily greeting Mysskin as he arrived. For those unfamiliar, Nithya and Mysskin worked together in the 2020 film Psycho, which featured Tamil Nadu’s current Deputy Chief Minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin, in the lead role.

The trailer launch of Kadhalikka Neramillai saw notable attendees like Jayam Ravi, AR Rahman, and Anirudh Ravichander. Directed by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s wife, Kiruthiga, the film is set to release on January 14. Nithya Menen, known for her work in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema, has delivered hits like O Kadhal Kanmani, Mersal, Thiruchitrambalam, Bheemla Nayak, and Kanchana 2.
In 2019, Nithya Menen made her Bollywood debut in Mission Mangal, sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Kirti Kulhari, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Kapoor, and others. Meanwhile, Mysskin, who is also an actor, has appeared in films like Vijay’s Leo and Sivakarthikeyan’s Maaveeran. His upcoming acting projects include Love Insurance Kompany and Dragon. As a director, his next venture, Train, features Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role.
Nithya Menen recently won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in Thiruchitrambalam. In a conversation with us about this prestigious achievement, she shared her excitement about her upcoming project with Vijay Sethupathi. “It’ll not just be a romantic film but something that breaks genres. Since our Malayalam film, we’ve gotten along so well and wanted to do another film. I think it will be a nice experience for all of us,” said Nithya.
