The Indian version of the Pad 7 is expected to mirror the Chinese model, as it was spotted on Geekbench earlier this month with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. It is expected to run on Xiaomi’s Hyper OS based on Android 15. It will have up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
If this is the case, the tablet will feature an 11.2-inch 144Hz LCD display with a 3,200 x 2,136-pixel resolution. For photography, it houses a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. An 8,850 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support will power the device.
While Xiaomi also launched the Pad 7 Pro in China, it is unlikely to make its way to India, following the pattern of previous Pro models like the Pad 5 Pro and Pad 6 Pro.
In China, the Xiaomi Pad 7 starts at CNY 1,999 (approximately ₹23,540) and is available in two additional memory variants. The price of the Xiaomi Pad 7 in India is expected to fall within a similar range. For context, the Xiaomi Pad 6 was launched in India with a starting price of ₹26,999.
