Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were spotted on a date on Christmas Day in Australia. The actress and the cricketer were seen taking a stroll in the streets of Melbourne sans their children, Vamika and Akaay. Anushka and Virat were seen wearing casual outfits for their day out. Virat was seen wearing a pair of blue pants with a dark coloured tee. On the other hand, Anushka was seen wearing a pair of beige pants and a black tee. The couple appeared to be enjoying a quick snack.
The couple is in Australia due to Virat’s cricket schedule. The cricketer will be seen playing the boxing day test match against the Aussies. The match is schedule to kick off on December 26. Check out the video below:
Anushka and Virat were also spotted on their intimate date shortly after R Ashwin made a comment that appeared to be a dig at Virat’s on-field PDA. For the unversed, R Ashwin was asked in a recent interview about the comparisons in temperaments between him and Virat. Ashwin said on Sky Sports Podcast, “I wanted people to know me for who I am because, a lot of times, Ashwin’s picking up a wicket, and Virat Kohli is all over the place. He’s just jumping about, and people very often tend to believe that Ashwin’s the one who’s absolutely serious and Virat’s the one who’s having all the fun, which is why somebody asked me the question: ‘Why are you serious all the time?”
Referring to Virat’s approach to acknowledge Anushka, Ashwin added, “My answer to that, in the first place, is I’m never a serious person. But when somebody is clobbering me and I have the ball in my hand to win a Test match for my country, my mind is ticking, because I’m in the process. So, very often, you don’t see me picking up a five-wicket haul and pushing across a kiss through the blade of my bat to my better half sitting in the dressing room or in the hospitality box. I felt like a lot of who I am got diluted in the fact of what I’ve become.”
Virat and Anushka are yet to react to the comment. Meanwhile, earlier this month, Virat and Anushka celebrated their wedding anniversary. However, they chose to keep their celebrations private.
