A 5-year-old girl died and others were injured after a BMW hit a scooty in Noida’s Sector 30. The accused, Yash Sharma and Abhishek Rawat, have been arrested.
BMW rammed into scooter
A 5-year-old girl died and others were injured after a luxury car hit a scooty in Sector 30 of Noida, police said on Sunday. The incident took place on Saturday night and Noida Police have seized the BMW car.
The accused are two students, identified as Yash Sharma and Abhishek Rawat, have been arrested.
As per a report by NDTV, the scooter rider and co passenger are admitted to a hospital. Residents of Sadarpur, Gul Mohammad and his brother-in-law Raja were taking 5-year-old girl to the hospital as she was unwell. On their way, a speeding BMW hit the scooter and the girl died on the spot.
Police are investigating the case and further details will be shared in due course of time. Visuals of the damaged car and scooter are being shared widely and some internet users are linking this case with the Pune Porsche car crash.
In another case of accident reported earlier this month in Greater Noida, a 54-year-old woman was allegedly crushed to death while her husband sustained injuries after they lost control of the scooter while overtaking a trolley truck in Greater Noida, Gaur City 2.
The deceased was identified as Sarita Chaudhary, 54, a resident of Raksha Addela Society in Greater Noida West. Her husband was admitted to a hospital after the accident.
As per the police, the couple was returning home after offering prayers at a nearby temple and had stopped briefly to buy some fruits from a roadside vendor. When they resumed their journey, a stray bull suddenly appeared in front of their two-wheeler, forcing Narayan to swerve to avoid hitting the bull.
Right then, a dumper struck their two-wheeler from behind — flinging the couple onto the road and leaving them critically injured.
