Haseen Jahan, estranged wife of cricketer Mohammed Shami, has once again landed in controversy after a neighbour filed a police complaint against her and their daughter, Arshi. The complaint, lodged by Dalia Khatoon, includes serious charges such as attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, and assault, allegations reportedly triggered by a viral video circulating on social media.
The controversy is linked to a piece of land in Suri town of Birbhum district, West Bengal. According to a report by The Siyasat Daily, West Bengal police officials stated the incident occurred in ward number 5, where Haseen had initiated construction work on a plot registered in her daughter Arshi’s name. Neighbour Dalia opposed the construction, claiming the land was disputed.
Viral Video Shows Conflict
A viral video on social media shows Haseen Jahan in a black T-shirt and denims, while neighbour Dalia Khatoon appears in a maxi and dupatta. The footage depicts Haseen removing bricks as Dalia attempts to stop her, leading to a scuffle between the two.
Serious Allegations And FIR
Dalia Khatoon claimed that Haseen and her daughter Arshi Jahan attacked and attempted to kill her. Consequently, Dalia filed an FIR against them, citing serious charges such as attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, and assault. It has been claimed that Haseen and her daughter tried to halt construction on the disputed land, for which Haseen has yet to provide proof.
Police Investigation Underway
The West Bengal Police has confirmed that the case has been registered and an investigation is ongoing. However, no arrests have been made so far. Officials stated that the investigation will proceed based on video evidence and witness testimonies.
