Live: All eyes on TCS Q1 results as Nifty seeks direction | Opening Bell


The Nifty slipped 46 points to close at 25,476 in yesterday’s session, with midcaps extending their losing streak to a fourth consecutive day. In contrast, the smallcap index managed to buck the overall weak trend and ended in the green. Among sectors, FMCG and consumer durables emerged as the top gainers, while IT stocks came under pressure ahead of TCS’s Q1 results. This morning, global cues were mixed. US markets gained overnight led by tech stocks as Nvidia rises to new record. Asian markets are mixed after the US President announced 50% tariffs on US imports from Brazil.
