The discovery was first shared by the X (formerly Twitter) account @8810cfw, and once it was picked up by popular Apple tipster ShrimpApplePro, the speculation machine went into overdrive. The rumour now? This could be the new default ringtone for the upcoming iPhone 17, set to launch this September.
As expected, Apple hasn’t commented, a classic move from the tech giant that loves to keep things under wraps until the big reveal. There’s no guarantee the ringtone will make it into the final iOS 26 public release, but the timing certainly hints at something more than a one-off experiment.
