Microsoft has increased the prices of Xbox products across the globe and the new prices have been applicable from May 1. The price hike includes consoles, controllers, accessories, as well as first party games.
The category that gets the maximum price hike is console. The Xbox Series X gets a price hike of $100 for the standard models. On the other hand, the Galaxy Black Special Edition gets a price hike of $130. Post the price hike, the Galaxy Black Special Edition costs $729.99 while the Xbox Series X costs $599.99. The Xbox Series X Digital now costs $549.99.
The gaming controllers are now expensive by $5-$40 as compared to earlier. The company is also increasing the price of new first-party titles and they will cost from $70 to $80 for standard variant. Well, the only thing that is unaffected is the Game Pass service.
The price hike of the Microsoft is global and this is contrary to some other brands. The company has mentioned unfavourable market conditions as the well the rising costs of the development for the price hike.
