At the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, MG Motor showcased its new Majestor SUV – based on the Gloster. The SUV has been spotted many times on Indian roads and has impressed everyone with its road presence. Now, there are reports claiming that MG has finalised the launch time line of the Majestor. Talking of which, the MG Majestor is expected to be launched anytime in May 2025! It is expected to be positioned above MG Gloster, which is currently priced between Rs 47.98 lakh & Rs 54.35 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

What To Expect?

MG Majestor will be heavily based on the outgoing Gloster. In fact, we can expect the Majestor to be a premium version of the Gloster. We have already spotted the SUV multiple times – revealing the new exterior & interior design. On the outside, the SUV gets major changes to the front face & the rear profile. Compared to the Gloster, the Majestor gets a different design for the headlamps, front grille, & alloy wheels. Minor tweaks have been made to the rear profile as well.

On the inside, the Majestor was spotted with a completely redesigned dashboard layout. Some noticeable changes include – new design for front AC vents, a new touch screen with better UI, updated digital instrument cluster which can also display wireless maps. At the lower part of the dashboard it gets knobs for the AC controls, electronic parking brake with Auto-Hold – all of which integrated on redesigned centre console. The spy shots also reveal that the new Gloster will continue with an option of captain seats for the second row. Rest, it will continue to offer all the bells and whistles from the outgoing model.

Engine Specifications

What about the engine options? Well, the exact specifications are yet to be revealed. However, we feel that MG would continue to offer the same 2.2-litre diesel engine (161 bhp and 373 Nm) and the more powerful unit the 2.2-litre bi-turbo diesel engine (215 bhp and 478 Nm). Both these engine options are mated to 8-speed AT gearbox only.
