Malaika Arora called out a 16-year-old contestant for making inappropriate gestures during his performance on Hip Hop India Season 2. The actress, who judges the show alongside choreographer-director Remo D’Souza, was seen reprimanding the participant in a video that has now gone viral.
Although Hip Hop India Season 2 premiered on March 14, the opening took a dramatic twist when Malaika Arora lost her temper at a contestant. In the latest episode, a participant directed inappropriate gestures toward her during his performance, which left the judge visibly upset.
Sixteen-year-old Naveen Shah from Uttar Pradesh auditioned for the show. During his performance, he made suggestive gestures toward Malaika Arora, which left her displeased. After he finished performing, Malaika did not hold back and voiced her frustration.
A video from the episode has gone viral on social media. In the clip, she is heard schooling the teenager in a firm tone, saying, “Mummy ka phone number do!” (Give me your mother’s phone number!).
Showing her disbelief at the contestant’s behaviour, Malaika is heard saying, “He is winking. He is giving flying kisses.” Considering the contestant’s young age, Malaika Arora firmly corrected him for his inappropriate conduct.
It wasn’t just Malaika Arora—other contestants also objected to the participant’s alleged behavior.
Although the situation was eventually diffused, the contestant’s father was invited on stage, where Malaika and Remo lightheartedly interacted with him. Speaking about his son’s actions, the father remarked, “He may seem innocent, but he isn’t. He spends the whole night chatting with girls.” When questioned about the boy’s gestures, he jokingly responded, “Well, he is my son after all.”
Prior to this, Malaika Arora has been a judge on several dance reality shows, including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, India’s Best Dancer, and India’s Got Talent, among others.
